Qasr-e-Shirin, Kermanshah prov, Nov 1, IRNA-A quake jolted the town of Qasr-e-Shirin in the west of Iran on Monday.
The city governor Shahriar Heydari told IRNA the epicenter of the tremor was in 'Maypehen' village between Qasr-e-Shirin and Sarpole- Zahab cities.
Speaking in the venue of Center for Natural Disasters, Heydari said the earthquake measured 4.3 degrees in the Richter scale, but fortunately it has not caused any casualties or damage.
He added the tremor occurred at 21:15 local time (17:45 GMT) Monday night and caused panic among city's residents.
The city has a population of about 27,000 and the residents are still staying away from their homes.
