Shiraz, Fars Prov, Nov 1, IRNA-An earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale hit the outskirts of Kazeroun in southwestern Fars province Tuesday morning.
The Fars Seismography Network affiliated to Tehran University's Geophysics Institute recorded the quake at 08:15 hours local time (04:45 GMT).
According to the report, the tremor was felt in an area measuring 29.17 degrees in longitude and 51.93 degrees in latitude.
There are no reports of any casualty or damage to property as a result of the quake which hit the town, which is located 70 kilometers southwest of the province's capital, Shiraz.
This year several quakes of varying magnitudes have hit this region, which is situated on some of the world's active seismic faultlines.
