Tehran, Nov 6, IRNA-Iran's Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani on Sunday called for negotiations with three European states on Iranian nuclear program.
He forwarded letters to foreign ministers of France, Britain and Germany calling for constructive and logical negotiations with the three European states on Iranian nuclear program in the framework of respective conventions and regulations of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The letters were delivered to Tehran-based ambassadors of respective states.
In the meantime, Larijani reiterated national resolve to attain legitimate rights of Iranian nation as stipulated by international conventions on civilian application of nuclear energy.
Iran is signatory to Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and signed Additional Protocol to NPT as per a request to that effect from IAEA to give objective guarantee for not diverting from civilian purpose.
IAEA Charter specifies Additional Protocol which grants short notice inspection to UN Agency to all nuclear sites of the member states.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in his address to the World Summit in New York last September that Iranian nuclear program is transparent is open to inspection of UN nuclear watchdog.
"Cameras of the UN Agency have been installed on all Iranian nuclear sites monitoring them. Iranian nuclear program is in line with Safeguards Agreement of the IAEA," he said.
