A large number of Iranians joined the crowds for a family day at the British Museum in London on Saturday 5th November, held in association with the museums Splendors of Ancient Persia exhibition.
There were workshops for children on jewelry making and frieze making. Many enjoyed storytelling and films about Persia. Calligraphy and carpet weaving were demonstrated, and there were popular displays of Persian dance and music, with performances of the santour, daf and tombak held in the world famous Reading Room.
