Brussels, Nov 22, IRNA-Two young inventors from Iran won gold, silver and bronze medals at the 54th World Exhibition of Innovation, Research and New Technology held in Brussels from November 16-20.
Danosh Vahdat and Alireza Setayeshgar, both from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, won the awards for their inventions in the mechanical engineering sector.
Speaking to IRNA in Brussels Monday night, both young scientists said they were "happy and proud" to represent the Islamic Republic.
Vahdat, who hails from Bojnoord, said he plans to continue his research work and do his Phd.
He won gold, silver and bronze medals for his inventions.
Setayeshgar, who hails from Shiraz, won a silver medal.
"After the hard work in our projects, I think we deserve it," he told IRNA.
Every year about 500 participants from some 30 different countries meet at "Brussels Eureka" and present more than 700 innovations and patent inventions.
It is the annual gathering of the best research specialists, creators of new techniques, most important inventors and innovation associations as well as official bodies responsible for the registration of patent and trademark applications.
