TEHRAN, Nov. 28 (Mehr News Agency) -- The first AIDS Film Festival will be held at the Qanun Cultural Center and Tehran University's Andisheh Hall on December 2, the Persian service of the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported on Monday.
The four-day festival will feature 30 films in documentary, animation, and fiction film sections.
Alireza Raeisian, Kiyanush Ayyari, and Shahram Rafeiifard are some of the jury members.
According to the secretary of the event, Iranian director Puran Derakhshandeh, the main goal of the festival is to help prevent the spread of the fatal disease.
"Medical doctors and the cinematic jury members are scheduled to participate in professional gatherings on AIDS in the sideline sections of the festival, she said.
The closing ceremony will be held at the Qanun Cultural Center on December 5.
