For the first time ever, African lions were born in Darabad Nature and Wildlife Museum in Tehran.
Tehran, 12 October 2005 (CHN) -- Following the transportation of an African lioness from Eram Park to the Nature and Wildlife Museum of Darabad, and her mating with the museum lion, the first whelps of the museum were born after 110 days of special care.
According to the veterinary of the museum, all the whelps are healthy, and are being nourished by mother's milk.
The female lioness was purchased by Darabad Nature and Wildlife Museum from Eram park after so many efforts made by authorities of the museum to help its African lions breed.
Darabad Nature and Wildlife Museum is located in Darabad mountainside, Tehran.
