The number of people killed in Saturday's terrorist bombings in the southwestern city of Ahvaz in Khuzestan province of Iran has increased to 6, IRNA reported quoting a local official in Ahvaz.
Two homemade bombs placed in garbage bins detonated three minutes apart in Khuzestan's capital, Ahvaz, on Saturday killing what was initially reported as five.
Talking to IRNA, Deputy Chancellor of Jondi Shapour University Mohammad Jahangir said the twin bombings also left 99 people injured, 27 of whom are currently under treatment in hospitals while the rest have been discharged.
He, moreover, said that six of the wounded were in intensive care, 2-3 of whom were in critical condition.
