Tehran, Oct 24, IRNA-A mild earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale hit the city of Bandar Dayyer in the southern province of Bushehr Monday morning.
According to the Bushehr Seismological Network affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the quake occurred at 04:54 hours local time (01:24 GMT).
The tremor was felt in an area measuring 51.94 degrees in longitude and 27.74 degrees in latitude, the report added.
There are no reports of any casualty or damage to property.
Quakes of varying magnitudes often occur in Iran, which is situated on some of the world's most active seismic faultlines.
