Iran: 2500-year-old aqueduct in Kish island

Tehran, Oct 23, IRNA-A view of the 2500-year-old aqueducts in Kish Island, from which the potable water supply was earned in old days, is seen.

The aqueducts situated in Kish, being incomparable to those across the nation, show that in old days advanced methods were used by our predecessors in the area for digging them. Given the low slope of the island, the flow of subterranean waters onto the earth level in Kish is of great importance.
