TEHRAN, Oct. 25 (Mehr News Agency) -- Iranian filmmaker Fereydun Goleh died of heart failure at the age of 63 on Saturday in the northern city of Salmanshahr, Mazandaran Province.
Goleh was an active director in Iran before the Islamic Revolution. His credits include "Dagger", "Under the Skin of the Night", "Heathen", "Hive", and "Honeymoon".
He is most famous among his fellow directors for his film "Hive", but after the revolution he never got the opportunity to make another film and left Tehran to live in his villa in Salmanshahr.
It is said that some of the screenplays which he had previously written were later revised and made into films after the revolution.
The funeral ceremony was held today, and he was buried at Tehran's Behesht-e Zahra cemetery.
