Tehran, Sept 3, IRNA-Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi on Saturday said the US Administration is using the hosting of international organizations as tools. His criticism came after Washington refused to issue visas for an Iranian parliamentary delegation, which is to attend the world interparliamentary conference in New York on September 6.
Asefi blasted the United States' decision, saying Washington's measure proved its disqualification for hosting international meetings.
"Parliaments are the symbols of democracy and they are to discuss the promotion and institutionalization of democracy," noted the spokesman adding "the United States' act openly contradicts their claims and is in sharp contrast with democracy."
With political motives, which are not in conformity with international norms, the US has always breached its international commitments, said Asefi, urging other countries to review the organization of their meetings in that country.
