Tehran, Sept 4, IRNA-Exports of industrial goods and minerals, as well as handicrafts and border-luggage exports stood at 1.783 billion in the first four months of the current Iranian year (started March 21), the industry mines ministry reported Saturday.
Also, it said incorporating carry-on-luggage exports and border markets the value of non-oil exports topped dlrs 2.275 billion registering 14.1 percent rise compared to the same period last year.
Also, the value of industrial goods and minerals exports topped dlrs 1.588 billion which including handicrafts rose to dlrs 1.637 billion.
The figures were 24.3 percent and 21.3 percent higher in terms of weight and value respectively compared to the corresponding period in the previous year, the report added.
Also, in the said period in total over six million tons non-oil products valued at dlrs 2.066 billion were exported which is higher by 21.6 and 10.9 percent in terms of weight and value compared to the year before.
"The industrial and minerals exports' share of total non-oil exports was 78.4 percent in the period," the report said.
Iran non-oil exports topped dlrs 512.5 million in the Iranian month of Farvardin (March 21-April 20) which is over 5.7 percent higher compared to the same period last year, the Customs Administration reported here Saturday.
Of the figure dlrs 1.8 million and dlrs 42.1 million were carry- on-luggage and border exports, respectively, the report added.
Also, of the total non-oil exports figure, the industry and petrochemical sector's share was the highest - 77.7 percent- followed by agriculture, handicrafts and minerals with 10.2 percent, 6.8 percent and 5.3 percent, respectively, it said.
With the exception of handicrafts and minerals exports, industry- petrochemical and agricultural sectors registered declines in exports in the same period.
Also, the value of non-oil exports topped 10,724.8 million in the past Iranian year, Customs reports said.
