United Nations, New York, Sept 18, IRNA-Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wrapped up a five-day official visit to New York and left here for home Sunday morning.
Ahmadinejad, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived here on Tuesday to attend the 60th regular session of the United Nations General Assembly.
He delivered a speech at the UN world Summit Wednesday on the importance of dialogue, understanding and cooperation among different countries with the aim of materializing world peace and tranquility.
The Iranian president delivered another speech on Saturday during which he presented his proposals on Iran's nuclear program.
While here, Ahmadinejad met with senior officials of different countries participating in the General Assembly including the foreign ministers of the EU-3 (Germany, France and Britain).
Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani and a number of president's advisors accompanied Ahmadinejad in his visit.
