Paris, France, Sept 24, IRNA-France on Friday officially recognized Iran's right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, stressing such activities should be transparent.
Addressing a press conference, French Foreign Ministry spokesman Jean-Baptist Mattei said no one can deprive Iran or other states of the right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
Besides, he said, based on the Paris Agreement, the European states are committed to provide Iran with nuclear fuel.
Asked about the Europeans' failure to report Iran to the UN Security Council, he added the proposed resolution has not been put on hold yet and talks are still underway in Vienna.
He voiced his country's concerns about attempt to weaken the unity of the international community.
There is a consensus among all members of the Security Council on the importance of unity among member states of the governing board of the International Atomic Energy Agency and stability in the region.
The spokesman noted the board of governors and the IAEA chief Mohamed ElBaradei will make decision on whether to report Iran to the Security Council or not.
If any country violates the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), it is up to the IAEA to send the case to the UNSC, he stated.
