Tehran, 22 September 2005 (CHN) -- Seven countries will participate in the first golf competitions between women of Islamic countries to be held in Tehran.
It will be the first international golf tournament especially for women in Iran's history.
According to Arash Pouyan Mehr, head of the Golf Federation Committee in Iran, these competitions will be held from 25 to 28 of September in the golf course of Enghelab Sport Complex.
Teams from Pakistan, South Korea, Lebanon, Brunei, North Cyprus, Germany, and Iran will compete in this tournament.
According to Pouyan Mehr, some tourism programs, including tours of Tehran and its tourist attractions, are foreseen for the players.
Each team consists of 4 players, one supervisor, and a coach. The technical supervisor of these golf competitions, a representative of P.G.A. (the highest golf body in the world) who entered Iran 10 days ago to train Iran's team, will be present in the tournament.
