Tehran, April 2, IRNA-Iran's Minister of Economy and Finance Davood Danesh Jaafari said in Cairo on Sunday that Tehran is ready to expand ties and cooperation with Cairo, notably in the economic, industrial and investment sectors.
Danesh Jaafari told Egyptian Minister of Foreign Trade and Industry Rashid Mohammed Rashid that Iran and Egypt enjoy vast potential for mutual cooperation in the said fields.
Rashid said in return that his country is also eager to expand ties and cooperation with Iran in the commercial and economic domains.
He said the two countries are now cooperating in the banking, textiles and shipping areas.
Danesh Jaafari and his entourage had before meeting and talks with Rashid inspected Misr-Iran Textile Company (Miratex).
Established in 1974, Miratex is busy in the field of industrializing and exporting Egyptian cotton crop.
The company is one of the pioneers among other Egyptian textile companies and was awarded EN ISO 9001 Certificate in 1997 by the German International Co. DASA ZERT, as a result of the Company's distinguished performance, implementation of good internal systems and sound economic practices and management.
The company also achieved the Trust Certificate Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
Right now the company produces different cotton threads such as G/70, G/80, G/85, G/86 and G/89 which are among the best quality threads in the world and are exported to more than 30 countries in America, Asia, Europe and Africa.
The company aims production and marketing of textile products and ready-made knitted garments and securing the company's raw cotton needs.
