Tehran, April 9, IRNA-An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale hit the outskirts of Kazeroun city in the southern province of Fars late Saturday.
According to the seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the quake occurred at 23:30 hours local time (2000 GMT).
The tremor was felt in an area measuring 51.45 degrees in longitude and 29.6 degrees in latitude, the report added.
There have been no reports of any casualty or damage to property caused by the quake.
Iran is often hit by quakes of varying magnitudes as it sits on some of the world's most active seismic faultlines.
