Tehran, April 9, IRNA-International conferences on "Recent Developments in Iraq and Prospects of Regional Security" and "Iran's Nuclear Program, its Prospects and Solutions" are to be kicked off in Tehran on April 24-25, Deputy Head of Political Research in Strategic Center of Expediency Council Mahmoud Vaezi said on Sunday.
The two conferences were sponsored by the Political Research Center for Strategic studies affiliated to the Expediency Council, he told reporters.
He said these two conferences are to seek the views of foreign intellectuals on Iraq's developments and Iran's peaceful nuclear program.
Holding such conferences would help promote mutual understanding between Iranian and foreign officials, scientists and intellectuals, he said.
There is no relationship between these two conferences on recent developments in Iraq and Iran's nuclear dossier, he said.
Intellectuals from 25 countries such as Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, South Africa, Egypt, Turkey, India, Pakistan, Italy, Switzerland, France, England, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Jordan, Bahrain, China, Russia and United States of America would attend these two events, he said.
On the first day of the conference, situation in Iraq would be discussed and Iran's peaceful nuclear issue would be the agenda of the second day.
A number of domestic officials along with some foreign guests would deliver lectures in the two separate conferences, he added.
