Iranian Scholarship Foundation Fundraising Gala

 

Menlo Park, CA - April 6, 2006 - The Iranian Scholarship Foundation (ISF) today announced that it is hosting its 2006 Fundraising Gala on April 23rd, 2006 at the Stanford Faculty Club, Stanford.

 

"This year we are planning to establish a new scholarship fund to cover postgraduate students arriving from Iran as well as our current undergraduate program", said ISF Chair of the Board of Trustees Azadeh Hariri.  She added: " This year our keynote speaker will be Dr. Mehdi Zarghamee Ex-Chancellor of the Arya-Mehr (Sharif) University of Technology. Iran, currently head of Engineering Mechanics and Infrastructures at Simpson Gumpertz Heger, Inc. of Boston, Massachusetts.   We are also pleased to have Mr. Mohsen Moazami Vice President and Global Managing Director of Cisco System as the MC for our scholarship fundraising event."

 

The Iranian Scholarship Foundation's undergraduate fund provides scholarships up to $10,000 to undergraduate Iranian-American Students studying at or entering a 4 year college in the United States who are in need of financial assistance. 

 

Azadeh Hariri, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the ISF, said "Since the Iranian Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit 501C-3 registered organization, and our scholarship programs are run by volunteers with no paid employees, 100% of the donations received go towards scholarships to Iranian-American students."  She added,  "Anyone interested in donating to this fund, is welcome to visit our web site at: www.iranianscholarships.com to make a donation online, or to send their checks to the ISF at the address given below.   Students can download the application form for scholarships at the same site.  The deadline for students to mail in their applications is May 15th, 2006".

 

The Iranian Scholarship Foundation is holding its fundraising on April 23rd 2006, starting at 4:30 PM in the Stanford Faculty Club, 439 Lagunita Dr., Stanford University, California.  Tickets are $250.00 per person and $100 for children age 10-18.   Five levels of sponsorship are available.  Each of these sponsorship levels will receive a plaque and  10 tickets to the 2006 gala. About Iranian Scholarship Foundation  

The Iranian Scholarship Foundation was formed in June 2005 to focus on providing scholarships to Iranian American students. These undergraduate scholarships are open to Iranian youth who are accepted into undergraduate programs of a four-year college in the United States and are in need of financial assistance.
