TEHRAN, Apr. 9 (Mehr News Agency) -- Iranian airline companies' passenger fleet consists of 118 aircraft, the number is expected to increase to 150 by the end of the current Iranian year (Iran's calendar year ends March 20).
Based on its new policy, Iran's Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) is determined to, in the current year, provide tickets for all the passengers willing to fly, noted on Sunday, Nurollah Rezaii Niaraki, acting director of the CAO.
He referred to the launching of flights in the airports located in the deprived parts of the nation and asserted that, currently, establishing flights in the airports of the cities of Sanandaj, Kalaleh and Saravan was on the agenda.
He put the overall useful life of the aircraft flying in the nation's air fleet at between 16 to 17 years and noted that the CAO had banned the purchase of any aircraft with over 12 years of age.
