TEHRAN, Apr. 12 (Mehr News Agency) -- Over 21 million tons of various non-oil products worth more than $10 billion were exported in the past Iranian year ending March 20. Some 21,744,000 tons of different non-oil products valued at $10,494 million were exported last year, the figure is indicative of 26.9 percent and 38.6 percent increase in terms of weight and value respectively, Iran's Customs Administration said in a statement issued on Wednesday.
Overall, each ton of the exported commodity was worth $482.60 thereby registering 9.2 percent growth as compared with the corresponding figures for the preceding year, the report said.
Petrochemical and agricultural products, handicrafts and minerals consecutively constituted the largest bulks of the exported commodities in the same period, the statement explained.
However, according to the provisions of the nation's Fourth Five-year Socioeconomic Development Plan, exports of the non-oil products were expected to hit $8,544 million.
