Tehran, April 16, IRNA-Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said in Tehran on Sunday that Iran allocated 50 million dollars to help the Palestinian people.
Mottaki made the remark while addressing the closing ceremony of the Third International Conference on Qods and Support for the Rights of Palestinian People.
He called on Islamic and Arab states to help the Palestinians, saying, "Performance of certain states in freezing help for the Palestinian people will have no impact on their strong will.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran has put support for ideals of the Palestinian people on top of its foreign policy inspired by the teachings of the founder of the Islamic Republic the late Imam Khomeini and guidelines of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
"President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his government regard continuation of this path as their legal and human duty," he said.
