Vollyeball Tournament (Jum Ettehad) by the United Cup Foundation in San Jose, California

Dear Sport Fans!

We all  agree on the fact that Volleyball is the only sport that all of us- women, men, young and young-in-heart- can claim have played at some point in time.

Many of us started playing this game back home in the narrow alleys where white cotton strings was used as a net, and white crocked chalk marking on the ground to make up a neighborhood volleyball court, and of course the patched leather volleyball! Also, who can deny the fact that in all the "Sizdah Beh-Dars" outings, the only activity that has involved the whole family-besides eating- is playing a fun game of volleyball. And for the younger generation, remember the school's varsity and intramurals competitions, and of course the Wednesday Night City League at the school and YMCA gyms.

So, what do you say? How about putting a team of friends together and take part in this "one of the kind" volleyball event at one of the kind sporting complex in the Northern California?

It will be fun! Three days of competitions in three Open Divisions: Men, Women, and Mix (or co-ed). There is no age category! Teams and players of all skill levels are welcome.  As we have said before, our only goal is to foster friendship and unity among the youths and adults, male and female Iranian and Iranian-American athletes and their honored guests in an environment that is fun, safe- and more importantly-  family oriented.

In partnership with the Payvand Organization of Northern California, the tournament organizers would like to warmly invite and welcome all the participating players, coaches, fans, and sponsors.

So, get hold of your old or new "ȍ    ", school buddies, talk to your friends, relatives, and from a team. We really want you to be part of this event!

Hope to see all this Memorial Day Weekend!

Tournament Director
