Tehran, April 24, IRNA-Iran finished runner-up for the third consecutive year in the 17th Asian taekwondo event in Bangkok, capital of Thailand, Sunday.
World champion Hadi Saei and Kourosh Rajoli snatched the coveted golds in the fifth and sixth weight categories respectively, helping the country take the second title.
Asian powerhouse South Korea stole the show with four gold, one silver, and one bronze medals and Thailand ranked third, winning one gold and two silvers.
The fourth title went to Kazakhstan, which bagged one gold.
Iran had already taken a bronze in men's third weight class through Mohammad-Reza Mehdizadeh and one bronze in women's seventh weight through Mahrouz Saei.
