Ahvaz, Khuzestan Prov, April 24, IRNA-In line with new policies of the government, Iran Post Company is to be ceded to the private sector, according to Persian daily `Iran'.
The company's Director-General Mohammad-Hassan Mohebbian, addressing the 18th session of the postal company's directors, said that all post-related affairs of the country would be ceded to the private sector.
He, moreover, said that extensive efforts are underway to improve postal performance in the country.
He said expert studies show that 24 provinces can balance their income and expenses and hoped postal companies would be able to do so by year-end.
Also speaking at the meeting, the director-general of Iran Post Bank Company, Afzali, disclosed that 2,050 post bank offices will be established in the next four years.
He said that contracts would be concluded with 55 foreign countries to regulate foreign exchange transactions.
