Tehran, April 25, IRNA-Three separate earthquakes measuring 3.6 to 3.8 on the Richter scale jolted the northern, southern and central parts of Iran Monday evening and early Tuesday morning.
According to the seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, an earthquake measuring 3.8 hit the outskirts of Harat near the city of Khatam in Yazd province, central Iran, at 04:13 hours local time on Tuesday (00:43 GMT).
The tremor was felt in an area measuring 30.01 degrees in latitude and 54.44 degrees in longitude, the report said.
Another earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale jolted Bandar Torkman suburbs in Golestan province in northern Iran at 22:41 hours local time Monday evening (19:10 GMT).
It was epicentered in an area measuring 37.23 degrees in longitude and 53.96 degrees in latitude, said the report.
The third earthquake, with a 3.8-magnitude, hit the outskirts of Feen district in Hormuzgan province in southern Iran at 20:53 hours local time Monday evening (17:23 GMT).
The tremor was felt in an area measuring 27.80 degrees in latitude and 55.49 degrees in longitude.
There have been no reports of any casualty or damage to property caused by any of the three earthquakes.
Iran is often hit by quakes of varying magnitudes as it sits on some of the world's most active seismic faultlines.
