New Delhi, Aug 3, IRNA-First round of the third-tripartite Joint Working Group (JWG) of Iran-Pakistan-India (IPI) gas pipeline project ended on a positive note in New Delhi on Thursday.
IRNA correspondent reporting from the venue of the discussion said, Mohammad Hadi Nejad-Hosseinian, Iran's deputy oil minister for international affairs, Ahmed Wiqar, Pakistan's oil secretary and M N Srinivasan, Indian oil secretary led their respective delegations in the tripartite meeting.
It was said by all the three delegations that, a technical committee comprising experts of the three sides has been assigned to carry on discussions on the price issue. The committee will present its report which will be discussed tomorrow in the second round of the third-tripartite JWG.
The first and second tripartite JWG meetings were held in Islamabad and Tehran and the current meeting which is the third round can produce important results as the three sides have expressed optimism on the implementation of the IPI gas pipeline project.
