TEHRAN, Aug. 27 (Mehr News Agency) - Amir Kabir University of Technology Chem-e-Car team ranked first in the world championship.
The Chem-e-Car team from the Chemical Engineering College of Amir Kabir University of Technology claimed victory over all other teams attending the competition, the Persian service of Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) said here on Sunday.
Other Iranian teams, one from Islamic Azad University and the other from the Amir Kabir University of Mahshahr showed great talent at the international challenge to stand respectively second and third among other teams from all over the world.
The American Institute of Chemical Engineers annually hosts a competition among college students to build a small-scale model vehicle powered only by chemical means. The competition has regional and national levels, each occurring during the student conference.
Furthermore, the competition includes a separate poster and research section for students to present their studies.
