Momeni Foundation announces its year 2006 scholarship awards

 
It is a pleasure to announce that the following list of outstanding students were selected as our year 2006 scholarship recipients. Each student has demonstrated outstanding achievement in academic, social and cultural arenas. Please join us in congratulating all of them.

Award Recipients for year 2006 (Total awards = $15,000 USD)
 
 
Scholastic Achievement Scholarships (Total = $3,000 USD)

Mr. David (Omid) Attarzadeh - $1,000 Award

Mr. Attarzadeh of Louisville, KY graduated high school with a GPA of 3.9 and a long list of volunteering, awards and leadership positions. He will be pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering at the John Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD.

 

Ms. Carmel Delshad - $1,000 Award

Ms. Delshad of Deltona, FL graduated high school with a GPA of 4.0 and a long list of volunteering, awards and leadership positions. She will be pursuing a degree in Medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL.

 

Mr. Aaron Seyedian - $1000 Award

Mr. Seyedian of Dunkirk, NY graduated with a GPA of 3.9 and long list of volunteering, awards and leadership positions. He will be pursuing a degree in International Affairs at George Washington University in Washington, DC.

  



Financial Assistance Scholarships - US Residents (Total = $8,000)

Mr. David Arash Darbandi - $500 Award
Mr. Darbandi of Tucson, AZ maintains a GPA of 3.93 at The University of Arizona where he is pursuing a degree in Pharmacy.  Mr. Darbandi is receiving a scholarship for the fourth year.

Ms. Faezeh Razjouyan - $500 Award
Ms. Razjouyan of Annondale, VA is pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering at George Washington University in Washington, DC.
 
Mr. Nima Salajegheh - $500 Award
Mr. Nima Salajegheh of Atlanta, GA maintains a GPA of 4.0 at Georgia Institute of Technology where he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Salajegheh also received a scholarship last year.

 

Mr. Payam Riazati Keshideh - $500 Award
Mr. Riazati Keshideh Hesperia, CA will be attending Victor Valley College where he will pursue a degree in Math & Sciences.

 

Ms. Carmel Delshad - $500 Award

Ms. Delshad of Deltona, FL graduated high school with a GPA of 4.0 and a long list of volunteering, awards and leadership positions. She will be pursuing a degree in Medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL.


Mr. Salar Hakham - $500 Award
Mr. Hakham of Los Angeles, CA has maintained a GPA of 4.0 at University of California of Los Angeles. He will transfer to Western University of Health Sciences in Fall 2006 to pursue a degree in Osteopathic Medicine.

Ms. Sahar Nayeri - $500 Award
Ms. Nayeri of Santa Monica, CA is pursuing a degree in History and Near Eastern Studies at University of California of Los Angeles, CA.

Ms. Peymaneh Malihi - $500 Award
Ms. Malihi of Redondo Beach, CA will be pursuing a degree in Biology at University of California, Los Angeles, CA.

Ms. Mahsa Hoshmand - $500 Award
Ms. Hoshmand of Bayshore, NY will be pursuing a degree in Medicine at State University of New York at Stony Brook, NY.

Mr. Kasra Hoshmand- $500 Award
Mr. Hoshmand of Bayshore, NY will be pursuing a degree in Engineering at State University of New York at Stony Brook, NY.

Ms. Nina Mahjoub - $500 Award
Ms. Mahjoub of Woodland Hills, CA will be pursuing a degree in Structural & Earthquake Engineering at MIT in Cambrige, MA.

Ms. Sipora Zaghi - $500 Award
Ms. Zaghi of Tarzana, CA will be pursuing a degree in Sociology/Pre-Law at University of California, Los Angeles, CA.

Ms. Arezoo Risman - $500 Award
Ms. Risman of Suwanee, GA will be pursuing a degree in Pre-Med at Oxford College of Emory University in Oxford, GA.

Ms. Pardis Esmaeili - $500 Award
Ms. Esmaeili of San Francisco, CA will be pursuing a degree in Biology at San Francisco State University in San Francisco, CA.


Financial Assistance Scholarship - Non-US Residents (Total = $4,000)

Mr. Houman Dallali - $500 Award (Iran)
Mr. Dallali of Tehran, Iran is pursuing a MS in Control Systems Engineering from The University of Sheffield in Sheffield, UK. Mr. Dallali is a fifth year recipient of our scholarship.


Mr. Vaheh Amirjanians - $500 Award (Armania)
Mr. Amirjanians of Yevan, Armania is pursuing a degree in Architect and Construction from Yervan State University of Architecture & Construction. Mr. Amirjanians is a second year recipient of our scholarship.


Ms. Behnaz Bolhassani - $500 Award (Iran)
Ms. Bolhassani of Tehran, IRAN is pursuing a BA degree in Translating English from University of Payam e Noor in Damavand, Iran.

Mr. Varazik Amirjanians - $500 Award (Ukraine)
Mr. Amirjanians of Tehran, Iran is pursuing a Medical degree from Lugansk State Medical University in Lugansk, UKRAINE 

Mr. Aminollah Sabzevari  - $500 Award (Canada)
Mr. Sabzevari of North Vancouver, BC - CANADA is pursuing a BS degree in Physics from University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Mr. Mohammad Gharipour - $500 Award (United States)
Mr. Gharipour is pursuing a PhD degree in Architecture from Georgia Tech.

Mr. Saeed Shobeiri - $500 Award (Canada)
Mr. Shobeiri of Montreal, QC, CANADA is pursuing a PhD degree from Concordia University - John Molson School of Business in Montreal, QC, Canada. Mr. Shobeiri is a second year recipient of our scholarship.

 

Mr. Jose Ciro Martinez  - $500 Award (Puerto Rico)
Mr. Martinez will pursue a degree in Economics from Williams College in Williamstown, MA.
