TEHRAN, Aug. 30 (Mehr News Agency) - The secretariat of the first international symposium on sculpture has invited 570 Iranian and foreign artists.

Supported by Tehran Municipality's Art and Culture Organization, the symposium is scheduled to be held from February 20 to March 12, 2007.

The event's topics are art, scholarship, and spirituality.

Parviz Tanavoli, Abbas Kiarostami, and Dariush Shaigan are some of the members of the selection board.

The announcement and the application forms are available in the Iranian embassies and all volunteers are required to submit the forms along with photos of their three sculptures and two photos to the secretariat on Bahman 12 St., Mirdamad Blvd.

Out of the two photos, one should depict the artist at work.

Artists whose designs are accepted will have a chance to create their works at the symposium.
