TEHRAN, Dec. 4 (Mehr News Agency) - Iran's major automaker Iran Khodro Co. (IKCO) and France's car producer Peugeot are planning to make joint investments aimed at development of the after sales services offered by IKCO.
In the first phase of the project, Iran Khodro and Peugeot are planning to boost the quality of after sales services offered by five of the Iranian carmaker's dealerships in Iran and help them meet the standards required by the Peugeot International, an official with Iran Khodro said. He explained that the two car producer companies would invest $2 million in the project.
In addition to undertaking 25 percent of the total investments of the project, Peugeot has also offered to transfer the required technical know-how in the field, Khaki announced.
The two car manufacturing companies will further invest around $4 million to upgrade the sales and after sales services of fifty other IKCO branch offices, the Persian service of ISNA quoted him as saying on Monday.
Customer services, repair approaches and the use of the special tools and equipments are the main issues to be dealt with in the project, Khaki also stated.
