TEHRAN, Dec. 8 (Mehr News Agency) - An agreement to promote and support joint investment between Iran and the Netherlands is at final stage of ratification, Iran Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki said on Friday in the course of his visit to this European country.
In a meeting with Dutch Economic Affairs Minister Joop Wijn, Mottaki called the trade between the two nations of considerable volume and asked the Dutch companies capitalize on investment opportunities in Iran. Cooperation in energy field, water management and other 'fundamental' plans are among the key projects to embark upon, he emphasized.
Wijn also expressed his country's interest in further developing its long and historical trade and economic ties with Tehran, calling the speedy implementation of the agreement 'a step up from current relations' and 'a significant sign of growth.'
Work opportunities with other countries and relevant economic issues in the region were among the topics further discussed by both sides.
