TEHRAN, Feb. 13 (Mehr News Agency) -- Iran's authorized dealership of the Japanese auto maker Subaru is planning to import about 2,000 of its Legacy models into Iran.
The company is now waiting for the outcomes of the political and economic rows as well the identification of the next year's tariffs and customs duties in Iran to import about 2,000 passenger cars into the country. The company's branch office in Iran has already imported a number of Subaru Legacy models into the country.
Meanwhile, Iran's lucrative auto market has imported about 10,000 passenger cars from major car producers Toyota, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi and Subaru. Over 5,000 Toyotas, 1,000 Audis, 3,000 BMWs and 1,500 Mercedes automobiles have already been sold by the companies' dealerships in Iran, the Persian service of Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported here on Monday.
Subaru will be the fifth exporter of the foreign-made automobiles to Iran.
