Sorush delaying release of Farhat's Persian Gulf Symphony

TEHRAN, Feb. 21 (Mehr News Agency) -- "If the Sorush Institute continues delaying the release of the Persian Gulf Symphony, I will release it without lyrics through another company," composer Shahin Farhat said on Tuesday.

"Some artist friends of mine and IRIB officials have made efforts to convince the institute to release the symphony on a CD. However, it was useless," he added.

Although the Sorush Institute owns the rights to release the symphony on CD, Farhat is determined to release his symphony at any cost.

"Every composer wants his works to be heard," he explained.

In addition, Farhat's Iran Symphony, which was recorded by the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra, will be performed at the 8th general assembly of the Iranian Academy of Arts on March 2.

Farhat is currently composing his 10th symphony, which is about an Iranian who sacrificed his life for his country.

He plans to complete the symphony by late spring and then record it with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra.
