Local Fighting Event Goes International Via Pay Per View

TAMPA, FL – Headquartered in St. Petersburg, FL, MKM Knockout Promotions, Inc. announced signing a deal to broadcast all 2006 Shin Do Kumaté Events on Pay Per View through TVN Entertainment.

TVN Entertainment is seen across the U.S and Canada and is the largest distributor of on demand content nationwide.  Along with being aired on Pay Per View, The Fight Network will broadcast all previous Shin Do Kumaté events.  The Fight Network is North America’s first and only 24-hour television channel dedicated to fighting events.  MKM Knockout Promotions, Inc is also in negotiations with The Viewer’s Choice Canada Pay Per View and also Eurosport, which is transmitted to 54 countries across the globe, and is the premier sports network in Europe and Asia.

Sponsored by Tiger Beer, Shin Do Kumaté IX, “Battle of the Warriors,” is slated to be the biggest and most action packed event in the short 4 year history of MKM Knockout Promotions, Inc.  Headlining the fight card is the Heavyweight Main event “The Persian Warrior” Master Mehrdad Khan Moayedi, who is an 8^th Dan Blackbelt and current SDK Heavyweight Champion against six-time World Champion, Rick “The Jet” Roufus.  Also just announced for the SDK IX fight card is an exclusive Traditional Full Muay Thai rules bout.  In association with world renowned Muay Thai Promoter and the #1 Promoter in Thailand, Songchai Ratanasuban, Jr. of OneSongchai, MKM Knockout Promotions is proud to host two great fighters at March 4^th Event direct from Thailand.

Shin Do Kumaté IX will be taking place on March 4^th, 2006 at the Bob Martinez Sports Complex at University of Tampa.  The official weigh-in is conducted by the Florida State Boxing Commission and will be hosted by the Wyndham Hotel at Westshore on March 3^rd at 7pm.  The media is invited to attend the weigh-in, as well as the event the following night. Top ranking fighters in the March 4^th line-up include Dan Rawlings, Stefan ButinBik, Kate Meehan, Vivian Leung, Lynda Loyce and Sarah Ponce.
