TEHRAN, Feb. 27 (Mehr News Agency) -- Head of the Reconstruction Organization of Holy Shrines in Iraq, Mansur Haqiqatpur, said here on Monday that the Islamic Republic of Iran has sent the first active group for launching reconstruction operations in Samarra, Iraq, where the holy shrines of the tenth and eleventh Shia Imams, Imam Hadi (AS) and Imam Hassan Askari (AS) were bombed last Wednesday.

He noted that after making the necessary coordination with the Iraqi government, the committee has dispatched its first group to Samarra for removing the rubbles.

"A second group mainly comprising experts in various fields will also be dispatched to Iraq for designing work prior to the main reconstruction operations, after we have made some coordination with the Iraqi government," Haqigatpur went on to say.

In conclusion, he expressed hope that as stated by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Samarra will be reconstructed as soon as possible to become even more magnificent and stronger than it was before.
