Iran: Six persons accused of involvement in crash of C-130 in Tehran summoned

Tehran, Jan 14, IRNA-The Armed Forces Judicial Organization in a communique issued in Tehran on Saturday announced that six individuals have been summoned to the Military Prosecutor's Office in relation to the crash of C-130 military plane.

According to the communique released by the Armed Forces Judicial Organization, the investigators in charge of the case eventually summoned three individuals from the Transportation Brigade of Mehrabad Air Base and three others from Mehrabad Airport Watchtower to the Military Prosecutor's Office.

"After primary investigations, the six individuals were released on bail," it added.

It said that the report of the Islamic Republic Army on the plane crash will be compared closely with the result of the investigations into the case to clarify the ambiguities.

The communique said that the Armed Forces Judicial Organization aims to examine the case thoroughly and from various dimensions to clarify the actual cause of the incident, which can be materialized by multifaceted technical and judicial survey.

Meanwhile, it called upon legal and real entities to avoid guessing and suggesting various theories on the case.

All the institutions which have surveyed the incident are called upon through the communique to dispatch the outcome of their investigations along with any available documents to the Armed Forces Judiciary Organization.

It has indicated that all dimensions of the incident will be examined and a comprehensive report on it will be released to inform the people.

"Once the tragedy of the crash of C-130 took place, a special investigation team was formed and immediately started survey on the case under the supervision of an inspector who was assigned by Bench No. 1 of Tehran Military Prosecutor's Office," he concluded.
