Kish, Hormuzgan prov, Jan 15, IRNA-A network of Iranian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) on Sunday refused to admit the US interest section's envoy to their general assemblies due to what they called 'the demand of the nation and the right to peaceful use of nuclear technology and research."
The envoy was banned from attending the general assembly meeting according to a decision made by representatives of 322 Iranian women NGOs attending a meeting of the network here. The decision was in response to US pressures on Iran's peaceful nuclear activities.
Deputy head of the network for international affairs Soussan Safaverdi told IRNA that the NGOs' representatives consider that the US actions humiliated the Iranian nation and denied their rights to peaceful use of nuclear technology and research.
"Gone is the era of discrimination and conditions are not such that a country can dictate its policies for others to accept them like slaves," added Safaverdi.
She said the era of slavery is over and people are after independence.
