Zahedan, Sistan-Baluchestan prov, Jan 30, IRNA-Seven military personnel who were taken hostage by insurgents about a month ago were released at noon on Monday.
A report released by the Public Relations Department of the provincial Information Department said that the released soldiers have vowed to do their best to eradicate sedition from the area with the support of the inhabitants of Sistan-Baluchestan province.
Nine Iranian military personnel were taken hostage by members of the terrorist group Jondollah in Godar Nahouk district in Saravan, 350km from Zahedan, about a month ago.
The report called upon terrorists to repent and help reconstruct their country along with the people of the province.
Meanwhile, efforts of the officials in charge, in particular those of the provincial Governor General Office, police, members of the Security Council and local officials who contributed to the release of hostages were appreciated.
