Tehran, 31 January 2006 (CHN) -- IBEX publisher in the United States will publish a book entitled "Persian Baby Name Book" in March 2006 in both English and Persian.
The Persian Baby Name Book includes the names of about 3000 girls and boys in Iran and Afghanistan in 128 pages. The names and meanings are given in both in English and Persian languages.
What is interesting about this book is that it has some guidelines which show how people may choose the appropriate Persian name based on some criteria important to different people. These guidelines are written at the end of the explanation of each name.
This way, every English-speaking individual may learn about Persian names and understand their meanings as well as a Persian speaking person and choose one for his or her child if it suits their taste.
The books publish by IBEX publisher about Iran and Persian literature include "An Introduction to Persian", "How to Speak, Read & Write Persian", "The Love Poems of Ahmad Shamlu", "Mohammad Mossadegh and the Future of Iran", "A Dictionary of Common Persian and English Verbs", "600 Mulla Nassreddin Tales", etc.
IBEX Publishers has been publishing, selling and distributing English and Persian books about Iran since 1979. This publishing company got its name, IBEX, from wild goat that lives in the mountains of Iran; the logo of the company also resembles this goat.
