Tehran, June 30, IRNA-Qeshm is still shaking and in the last hours of Friday afternoon another relatively big earthquake jolted this Iranian island in Persian Gulf.
According to the report of Seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute an earthquake measuring 4.4 degrees on the Richter scale jolted Qeshm Island at 18:26 hours local time (14:56 GMT).
The report added the tremor's epicenter was at 26:73 latitude and 55:80 longitude.
Eight quakes with the magnitudes, ranging between 3.3 and 5.5 degrees on the Richter scale, have shaken southern Hormuzgan Province since early Thursday.
Tehran University's Geophysics Institute said the strongest quake with a 5.5-Richter magnitude had been sensible in Qeshm island and the port city of Bandarabbas in Hormuzgan Province at 00:32:12 hours local time (21:02:12GMT) Thursday.
There has been no report of casualty or damage.
