TEHRAN, July 11 (Mehr News Agency) - The workshop for making musical instruments is to reopen at the Center for Music Research and Preservation of the Islamic Republic Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) in the near future, the instrument maker Farman Moradi told the MNA here on Monday.
"The workshop will resume its wide activities after reparation of the center," he added.
He referred to international musical instruments festivals different countries hold during the year, regretting that no one represents Iran in the events.
Moradi believes that the reopening of the workshop will definitely help Iranians play functional and educational roles and introduce their instruments to the world.
The center plans to call for cooperation of the Iranian virtuosos and music masters, he revealed.
He expressed hope that the center, which was founded by renowned music master and ethnomusicologist Dariush Safvat under the name of the Center for Preservation and Propagation of Iranian Music, will keep going.
