TEHRAN, July 19 (Mehr News Agency) -- Iran is impatiently waiting for registration of a five-kilometer-long painting on Guinness Book of World Records as the world's longest work, the executive secretary of the project announced here on Wednesday.
In a letter submitted through the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization's (ICRO) London Office to the Guinness Foundation, Iran has given the detailed features of the project, Mehdi Hosseini added.
The painting is to be created on a canvas by children and juniors here on August 22.
The canvas is made up of 100-meter pieces sewn to each other.
On the registration process, he said that Guinness will make a call to the project's secretariat for more details and will later send its agent to Iran on the specified date.
The organizers were expecting the Islamic Republic Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) and the ICRO for more cooperation on this national project, Hosseini lamented.
