TEHRAN, July 21 (Mehr News Agency) - Iran stood top at the 2006 Asian Under-20 Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Thursday night.
Three golds, one silver, and two bronzes gave Iran 65 points and the trophy while Kazakhstan ranked second on 61 points and Kyrgyzstan stood third with 54 points.
Japan, South Korea, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, the UAE, Turkmenistan, Taiwan, and Syria took the fourth to 11th titles respectively.
Iran finished runner-up to South Korea at the Asian U-20 Greco-Roman bouts Tuesday.
South Korea stood top on 66 points and Iran denied Kazakhstan the second spot as both garnered 62 points but Iran bagged medals of better colors.
The Iranian side snatched three golds, one silver, and one bronze.
Twelve countries competed during the one-day tournament.
