TEHRAN, July 25 (Mehr News Agency) -- Preparations have been made for large cargo and cruise liners to be fuelled at the ports located on the Iranian shores of the Persian Gulf.

Following the signing of a $150-million agreement with a domestic company, large cargo vessels and cruise liners will be able to be fuelled at the Iranian ports of Persian Gulf, the Persian service of Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported on Tuesday.

Formerly large ships and cruise liners used to call on other ports located on the Persian Gulf littoral states for fuelling, the services offered there earned them considerable profits, noted on Tuesday, managing director of National Iranian Oil Production and Distribution Co. (NIOPDC) Zia Kashani said Tuesday.

In addition to gaining significant profits from the fuel sales at the Iranian ports the measure will also draw a large number of Iranian experts and laborers to other related services offered at the Iranian ports, he commented.
