Iran's average crude export stands at 2.35m barrels a day

Tehran,July 30, IRNA-NIOC director for international affairs, announced sunday that Iran's average export of crude oil in the past 4 months has stood at 2,350,000 barrels a day.

Hojjatollah Ghanimi-fard said at the end of meeting between the Iranian oil minister and his visiting Venezuelan counterpart in Tehran that, "As in spring most of the world refineries undergo repair and services, crude oil exports decrease." He anticipated, the volume of Iranian crude export in first 2 months of summer will exceed 2,450,000 barrels a day and expressed hope that average oil export in the current calendar year would reach 2,400,000 barrels.

According to the official, the average prices for Iranian crude in the first quarter of this year stood at 61 dollars.

He added that Iran exports 7 different kinds of crude oil whose prices vary depending on their quality and delivery points.

According to Ghanimi-fard, the government has allocated 2.5 billion dollars for gasoline import in the first 6 months of the year which is enough only for 5 months.

He said the government should allocate more credit and when the government decides to buy more gasoline, NIOC will do it.
