Tehran, June 2, IRNA-Secretary of Volleyball Federation Saeed Darakhshandeh said, Milorad Kijac, the new Iran's head coach of national volleyball team, has a lot of honors in his professional career.
Darakhshandeh told IRNA on Friday the new head coach, who is from Serbia, has precious experiences in world leagues and tournaments.
He added, with the new head coach we hope to achieve good results in Japan world event and Asian Games in Doha.
Also, Coach of national soccer team Amir Heydari expressed hope that Kijac can do very well for the national team.
Speaking to IRNA, Heydari said, "I have a positive view on Kijac and I hope during his tenure he can raise our national team to a higher position."
Referring to the two big volleyball events in Japan and Doha, he expressed hope that with the new head coach Iran's national team can achieve a good rank in the events.
World re-known Serbian volleyball head coach Milorad Kijac arrived here Thursday to coach Iran's national volleyball team.
He held a meeting with officials of the Iranian Volleyball Federation Thursday morning.
The Serbian coach has signed a year-long contract which could be extended to three years.
Kijac has played for Yugoslavia's Sloboda and Banat clubs and has coached various clubs, including Banat, Vojvodina, Zoran Gajic, Ivanjica and Dinamo Pancevo.
