TEHRAN, June 6 (Mehr News Agency) - Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industries Co. (HESA) is planning to deliver at least four Iran-140 airliners to the domestic companies, announced the company's managing director here Tuesday.
Abbas Fallah denied the reports that the Iran-140 manufacture has stopped, adding, "Since Safiran Airlines, a domestic company, and Iran's Bank of Industry and Mine have not yet paid for the passenger jets, two of the aircraft have been grounded."
He underlined that the production of Iran-140 has not faced any problem and Mahan Airlines, also an Iranian company, has recently ordered some.
The managing director said his company has held talks on Iran-140 exports with Sudan and Venezuela, which have yet to settle their banking problems.
Fallah said more Iran-140s will join the country's fleet in the current Iranian calendar year (ends March 20, 2007).
