Tehran, June 6, IRNA-Two separate earthquakes measuring 3.7 and 3.6 on the Richter scale hit suburbs of cities in Khuzestan and Bushehr provinces in southern Iran, respectively, Monday afternoon.
According to a report, the seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University registered the 3.7-magnitude tremor at 16:10 hours local time (12:40 GMT) in the suburbs of Andimeshk city in Khuzestan province.
The quake was epicentered in an area measuring 32.47 degrees in latitude and 48.70 degrees in longitude, the report said.
On the other hand, the 3.6-magnitude earthquake hit outskirts of Borazjan city in Bushehr province at 15:59 hours local time (12:29 GMT).
The tremor was epicentered in an area measuring 29.27 degrees in latitude and 51.29 degrees in longitude.
No reports have been received of any casualty or damage to property caused by the quakes.
Iran is often hit by quakes of varying magnitudes as it sits on some of the world's most active seismic faultlines.
